Summer Internships in pipe organ restoration and maintenance are offered through the Music Institute of Chicago to those who wish to gain a broader understanding of the mechanical complexities of the instrument. A number of employees began as interns which has proved to be an effective process of passing on professional skills, aesthetics, and traditions. Sessions take place at the JL Weiler, Inc. workshop, located at 329 West 18th Street, in the South Loop of Chicago, as well as at other locations in the Chicago metropolitan area.
